2002 mustang gt stick...i was wondering if I'm racing what rpm should I dump my clutch at or just easy off the clutch like regular..

Some people do 2500 some people actually do like 4500. Just going to be a trial and error thing try it out a few times. All I need to do is about 2500-3000 and that does pretty well.

It all depends on what tire you're on. Slicks, rev to the moon and dump. Street tires, come off at idle and ease into it to keep wheel spin down.

Agree. Also, different types of racing require different techniques. Drag racing requires what you're talking about, but autocross and GT style track racing should avoid slicks and use a different setup on the suspension. I know everyone seems to love drag racing their Stang, but GT and autocross are more of a challenge for the driver.

When my 2000 Gt was stock, I would launch around 4500 rpm running drag radials and slight suspension tweaks. I just played with it until I found what worked well for me. You should do the same.

Every car is different in it's nuances. This is the best advice.
