Just Did the Unthinkable

Is that a "real" '93 Cobra?
There's a '94 with 34k miles near here for $16,900.

BTW, my insurance is with Grundy Worldwide, agreed valuation policy, currently $18k.
No limit on driving miles but not covered as a daily driver.
Real Cobra. 8th VIN digit is "D". I wouldn't buy a Cobra clone.

Damn. Definitely look into collector insurance then, but make sure you understand the terms. Haggerty told me I couldn’t run any errands with the car, so if it was stolen picking something up from Home Depot, I was SOL.

But $400/year for $15k and 2k miles of driving. Daily driver is $1900/yr.
Haggerty gets 30% more than Grundy for the type of same policy, and has restrictions that Grundy doesn't.

Looks nice Habu . The more I see those rims on Stangnet the more I like them those are Cobras I suppose. Dash is near perfect .Thats the thing with our cars is the details. I have to spend another two hours tomorrow on small stuff . There is something about doing the ashtray door . Nice to see it closed . You would not understand unless for two years you closed it all the time.

Any tips for repairing the plunger switch for the sun visor vanity light? The bulbs tested good and I know the lights are getting power, but the plunger doesn't seem to be accessible.

Those plungers are problematic in general. Half the time the lights stay on and drain the battery. I've never seena good way to replace them. I just leave my mirrors unplugged

It's a PITA but they come out through an area behind the kick panel. Most of the time corrosion just keeps it from having a good ground contact. Someone may have unplugged it because it wouldn't cut off.

I opened the visor flap one day and the bulbs flickered and shut off. This is one of two things wrong with the car and since I have nothing but time on my hands I figured I would try again. It seems like a common problem though even if I were to buy NOS visors on Ebay.

The other issue with the car is the passenger side muffler has a hole from previous owners idling the car, but not driving it to clear the mufflers of water. A NOS set of '93 Cobra cat back exhaust is $1,000.
