Mystery under the hood!

Hi, Stangers! New to this Forum. . .just purchased a used 2006 Mustang GT Convertible. I'm no techie, though, and wondered if someone in this forum could help me figure out what's under my hood. There are three power wires running from the battery into the belly of the engine. I'm curious to know what it is and if I need it. The previous owner was evidently a power enthusiast as he's got a Steeda exhaust underneath that has quite the growl. So I'm assuming this has something to do with increasing horsepower, but wondered if anyone knew what it is. Pics Attached.

You oughta see mine. Jeebus! There's so many wires running from the battery into the cab and I have no effin clue what they are for. Stock radio, although it may have had a different one before. There are also little cameras above the license plate, but nothing to view them inside the cab. Suspect they were viewable on some kind of fancy stereo at some point in the past. But I'm afraid to go in there and just yank the MFers. Car will probably imitate a Tesla, and go up in flames all by it's pretty self. ;-)

Looks more to me like some kind of upgraded alternator wiring, possibly for a stereo?
Thanks, Red! After I did some research online, I'm betting you're a hundred percent right! Guess that's a good thing. I'm going to put a powered sub and aftermarket stereo in there so that'll help. Judging from the power cables tho, it won't be anything like the dance club quality system he must have had in there! Hey, thanks for the insight! Much appreciated
