Drivetrain gears and differential sizes for my base model 94 vertible

There should be a tag on the differential cover that will tell you the ratio. If it’s a 6cyl car,it would be a 7.5. V8 car would be an 8.8
Yea the tag said 7.5 but how do i kno about the gear ratio . Being that it could be a 2.73 or 3.73 im just confused. And did u see the pic of the end of my axle once i took differentialcover off??

The same tag should have the gear ratio stamped on it-

since you have the axle out,I’m guessing the pan is off-you can count the ring gear and the pinion gear to see what ratio you have (it may even be stamped on the ring gear.)

The end of that axle looks like it’s been riding against the center pin,was there any damage to the pin or spider gears?

The pic of the axle shaft looks like the C-clip groove is missing (end of shaft broke off). Are both axles the same?

Should look like the 3 on the left.

Definitely doesnt even come close to it.. lol ..@kruiser but i found a 96 at a junkyard tht i believe to be the fix. It has the whole rear end still intaxt.. ive been twice to get it but the damn thing has locked lug nuts on it and american racing brand wheels tht none of your typical 4 ways or sockets fit in.. qhat to do

First thing would be check under seats and in glove box for key for the lock nuts.
If no go. You should still be able to get axle shafts out. Open diff cover, remove pin (and small bolt that holds pin in). Disconnect caliper bracket from anti-moan bracket. This should let you push wheel and axle in enough to pull C-clips and then remove axle. Once axles out, even with wheels still on, go to yard office and see if they have key or can cut off back of stud that lock nut is on. Once cut flush to back of flange should be able to hammer/punch stud out toward wheel. Wheel should come off now. You may need to replace a stud or two, but they are cheap.
