Car cover is already failing. San Diego sun can be brutal!

Thankfully only a little longer before she’s back in the garage.
I have not had good luck with " temporary" covers ever... One good thunderstorm in Florida did this.... The mustang made in through unscathed, I got lucky ....

Haha, when life gives you lemons you cry in the closet.

Not sure if it’s making national wide news but we here in SoCal have been getting hit with some decent weather/rainfall. Well, construction company (was actually the stucco company) masked off the house for final stucco starting early next week. Well, they also masked off the deck drain off our master bedroom and last night when we had heavy rain it basically turned into a mini pool that then overflowed through the door into our master bedroom. Master Bedroom, part of the master bathroom, entry way ceiling and walls, 70% of the living room floors, 40% of our kitchen floors, who knows what other walls are affected all got flooded/wet.

Big f’n problem that sets us back probably another month if not more. What a day.

Hope they get you straightened out man. I cant imagine blocking a drain, or drains, and not checking the weather first. Granted the weather isn't always right, but friggin A man, maybe cover the drains the day of work. :bs:

Well, we rented another place until November 14th just to be safe (on their dime, of course). Mold testing is happening early next week, our decision… they weren’t planning on doing it…? They didn’t rip out the upstairs floors for 4 days after the incident because “the floors showed dry on the moisture meter”… we bitched just due to water hitting the floors and I confirmed with the flooring company it voids their warranty for things that ARE covered… low and behold the subfloor was soaked, my hand got wet just by touching it.

They brought on a new project manager because we expressed concerns about the one we had this whole job… we just feel like he’s trying to hide stuff to keep the job moving forward. There’s been other things along the way so here we are, with a new PM overseeing the job. Thank goodness our jobs have allowed us to be on site more and see things and bring up issues that probably never would have been brought up without us there. Or I’m gonna get fired for basically working part time the last few months…

I have a plan... O_o

Me, @limp , and @rednotch , will take turns monitoring workers during the day.

Why? Because we're very comfortable with the tactical use of the F word on aholes that desperately need it.

We may include @General karthief if we need to deploy a 'good cop' before the mushroom cloud hits.

Question: Do you possess enough property for a couple shallow graves?
Just 'gee-wiz' info. :chin How do you feel about roses?

Haha man I need some backup muscle for sure! Shallow graves, I’ll just use their dump trailer, they can deal with their own!

The new PM is cool, he’s been around a couple different times when things have gotten tense. We’ve had more than a handful of onsite meetings with our old PM, the new PM, senior PMs, and even the owners of the company all together. One of the owners even said they are losing money on this job… cool, not my problem (he’s also my wife’s work client so probably didn’t mean that in a bad way towards us). The company is one company but he owns/runs the real estate side of it then there is another owner who runs the construction side of it. So my wife’s client is cool and nice and has been helpful having an ‘owner’ presence but he’s not like ‘involved’ in the job itself.

My brother and his family are visiting from NorCal, they came by and I showed them the house. At least everyone says it’s GONNA be cool, whenever that may be.
