Adjusting setting on Ford Bullitt Knob

I do. If it's tight enough that it doesn't flop around when I'm shifting, it's upsidedown.

Adjusting setting on Ford Bullitt Knob

Just got my tri-ax in with the Ford OEM Bullitt Shift Knob. How do I adjust this thing to get it tight without it being upside down?

Drivetrain Loss: Understanding it, and Improving it?

:stupid: I don't remeber which Mustang Magazine did it but they made a superlight 5.0 LX and actually added time at the strip due to the loss in traction. They found one guy could actually lift the rear wheels off the ground! They eventually had to add about 100 lbs of dead weight to the rear...

    DM Speedcal Problems

Just got my 4.10s and the Speedcal installed. While launching and braking, the speedo goes a bit nuts, the needle fluctuates all over the place, as high as 180kph. I'm also not sure how accurate it is, I haven' gotten the chance to really check it on the street yet, I only drove the car for 20...

Fairlady Z is the name of the 350Z in Japan if I'm not mistaken. No different that any ricer with SiR badging on a 4 door Civic.

I just saved up to get it all. It'll probably go on all at once so it'll be day and night once I drive the car again... can't wait!

More suspension questions: Springs, C/C, X2, Bumpsteer, SFC

I agree. Go with Maximum Motorsports. If you want the rear end to sit down, take a look at their rear grip kit. It's a panhard bar and Lower Control Arms. As for the springs and stuff, they have different kits that include shocks and struts as well, which are a big consideration when changing...

Estimate how fast I was going.

Ummm, sorry but no. Stock 99+'s won't exceed 145. Those Mods on a 97 wouldn't get it that fast, then you have add the shorter gears... I'd say 130 would be a best case scenario, but that's just a shot in the dark.

    Timing Advance vs Octane Rating

Even with 89 octane fuel? I was thinking more like 8-10. I thought you needed 94 (or whatever the high octane you get in thew US is) to run that high without detonation.

    Timing Advance vs Octane Rating

I'll soon be installing a timing adjuster and I'm trying to determine how much I can advance my timing with the 89 octane fuel that's available to me. I read about some guys with alot of timing advance, but they also run 90+ octane fuel, which I can't get in this part of Canada. How much...

    Project WTF (pics)

I've gotta ask about the White gauges. Is your speedo in MPH now? I've never seen white gauges in KPH. Maybe the stock cobra gauges but who knows what Ford would charge for those...

PLEASE HEEEEELP!!!! NEED TO OPEN HOOD!!!

Exactly. If you go the coathanger route you can make a mess of the window seal. If you want to spend the money on a towtruck with a slimjim or something like that go for it but if you just want under the hood, you can do it form under the car.

    Handling, Suspension Upgrade???

Go for the Maximum Motorsports rear grip package. You get LCA's and the Panhard bar. That'll make the rear end feel alot tighter. I think it's a little over $400, but save up and go for it. Probably the best thing you can do for you suspension for the dollar considering what you've already put in.

    Heads and Valve Springs

On a 2000 GT, do the heads need to be removed to change the valve springs? I'm still debating between a VT engines stage 1 or stage 2 cam and it sounds like to valve springs might make a big difference in the install cost. Also, does 8 hours sound like a lot to change the cams? That's what...

    Cams in otherwise Stock Car

I have some money saved up for some mods and I've decided on 4.10 gears for sure. Other than that, it's all up in the air. I'm looking at a complete intake package (everything but the manifold) that should get me around 20rwhp. How would that compare to a set of VT stage 1 cams on an...

    Suspension Questions

Yes, the springs lower the car, but the Mach1 shocks and struts are setup for the Mach1 Springs, which are about 1 inch shorter than the stock GT springs and also a bit firmer. It shouldn't create any issues but if you're looking for the best ride and performance, you'd want to get the whole...
