ac wire for dc fan control?

Thanks. I think it must be the blk/yel wire, I saw it listed in some more of the tmoss schematics....

    1" spacer & GT40 Tublar

Thanks. I am guessing I will have a good shot of clearing with the spacer. I don't have the manifold on the car yet, I still have one more hole to put in the explorer lower that I will do this week. I had the lower hot tanked and bead blasted, it looks pretty nice now.

    1" spacer & GT40 Tublar

Anyone know if the gt40 Tubular upper and a 1" phenolic spacer will work on a stock fox body hood? I have installed vert mounts which definitely seemed to lower the engine. The stock fan barely clears the lower shroud with the new mounts. I will just machine the spacer height if needed.

    gt40 lower tap sizes

Thanks for all the replys....the place I work has a full machine show so I got all the tools. I think I will be forced to put a bit extra pipe thread tape on the IAT because when I got handed the drill bit from a friend in the tool crib it was actually the 39/64ths...I didn't realize it until...

    gt40 lower tap sizes

I drilled the #5 runner just fine. Thanks for the thread size info. Can someone confirm that the EGR Coolant thread is also 3/8" NPT -18? Thanks, T

    gt40 lower tap sizes

Thanks for the info. BTW, I am assuming the TB coolant thread is the same size at 3/8" NPT? I didn't see that listed in the thread.

    gt40 lower tap sizes

I looked threw a bunch of searches but didn't see any info on tap sizes. Can someone tell me the thread size of the IAT that is required for runner #5? I am also probably going to run the EGR coolant and would like to know that tap size as well. I am sure there must be a good write up or...

    installed C&L 76mm

I was suprised to see a good increase in throttle response and a noticable seat of the pants gain. It seems to have been a bump along the entire power band. It is funny to see the stock mass air beside the C&L during the swap, that stock one is much smaller. I went with the C&L since it is...

Worst gas mileage possible with a stock motor

Could be the gas station....Maybe they switch fuel sources and are using the 10% ethonal stuff. Did you get new tires with high rolling resitance?

    Gears ?

I second that question...why 3.27? I think 3.55 would be much better if you want a great gear without destroying your highway mpg. 3.27 may not be enough difference in performance.

    BBK strut brace & intake

Any intakes fit with a BBK strut brace? I am mainly thinking the explorer GT40....anyone running this without interference issues? Does the GT40 sit higher in the engine bay than the OEM? I bought the car with the BBK brace; I would have done the MM brace. I am thinking about switching...

Why water jacket filled on EGR spacer?

Ok. I did a search and read a few posts to see what the just of the arguement is here. I think the EGR coolant is for cold start up issues and not to cool the spacer. 1.) On my old 87 Buick Grand National, it had the coolant lines going to the TB also and the EGR was located on the intake...

    motor mount install?

I got it done today after work. Here is some great information if you ever have this problem. I bought a racheting tie down from the auto parts store for 10 bucks. I wrapped the tie down through some holes in the k-member, then I wrapped it around some of the engine's front accessory...

Why water jacket filled on EGR spacer?

I think the FRPP Cobra intake manifold is the only aftermarket manifold that eliminates the EGR spacer water jacket? Do all the other intakes just keep the EGR spacer and elimnate the water line connection? I would think there is no reason, except for cold start emissions, to have the water...

    motor mount install?

I loosened the transmounts up, jacked up the engine, and then pushed on the intake to try and move the engine. I was able to get the mount much closer to seating now. The small boss is about 50% in the hole when I push the mount with my c-clamp. This is tons better than before, but I still...

    motor mount install?

The transmount....I forgot about that. I did replace the transmount a few weeks ago before I did the engine mounts. I bet the engine was shifted due to bad engine mounts when I locked down the bolt on the transmount. I think you may have solved the problem. 1. Now you got me a little...

    motor mount install?

The mounting boss is over too far to just torque it down on mine. Check out the picture. You can see that Boss needs to move over a lot to get in that hole on the chassis mounting pad. I tried using one of those hand activated C-Clamps with the engine jacked up and I still couldn't get the...

    motor mount install?

Good Point. I have a pipe that I will cinch them down with when I can get them aligned properly. I know those enegry suspension mounts also have a boss that protrudes off the surface, did you have to do anything special to get it aligned before you tightened them down?

    motor mount install?

OK. I jacked up the engine until the fan hit the shroud and was able to get both the mounts into position and attached. However, the mounts I am using are "Anchor" brand I believe and they have a locating boss on the mount interface surface. The passenger side dropped right down now problem...
