    CJ Pony Parts

Anyone bought from this place? How are they to deal with? What are your experiences with them? They seem to be relatively cheaper on most everything than anybody else. I'm in the process of restomoddin' my 67 coupe and will be buying ALOT of stuff hopefully fairly soon.

    Add air conditioning

How much am I looking at to A/C to my 67 289 coupe? Where's a good place to get the kit?

What year 351W rebuilt should I order

As for the Lightning 351W they had the regular GT-40 heads. If you get a Lightning motor and want to put a roller cam in it make sure the casting number on the block starts with F4TE. The early 93 Lightning 351W was not roller ready. Late 93-95 are roller ready (came with flat tappet cams).

    Granada proportioning valve

So going with an adjustable proportioning valve like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33564&item=7945134458&rd=1 is the way to go, eh? If so I'll just get one of them instead of the Granada valve.

    Granada proportioning valve

I'm doing the front disc conversion on my 67 coupe and was wondering if the proportioning valves can go bad? How reliable is it to get one off of a salvaged granada?

It was a good Christmas this year.

Awesome information, guys. Appreciate it alot. I'd definitely at least like to have front discs. 302 Coupe: Like I said earlier I don't know jack about carbs so you were right. I was thinking 2 Valve and 4 Valve. Not the Venturi thing. I'm used to the EFI motors, lol. So are you positive...

It was a good Christmas this year.

Here's a couple more. I had a better carb shot but accidently deleted it off the camera.

No. It's 5 lug with drum brakes. But it's my understanding that the bolt pattern is not the same as the newer mustangs, correct? The VIN on the drivers side under the hood is stamped correctly. Matches perfectly. I ran the vehicle data plate and everything matches. Body: 65A Color: W...

It was a good Christmas this year.

Also a little more of what I have planned. I haven't got a complete plan for the drivetrain. I had been looking for a shell or 6 cyl to get real cheap build from the ground up with a Tremec 5-speed, 351W bored and stroked to maybe a 393, along with either a 8.8 or 9 inch rear with around a...

It was a good Christmas this year.

What are the tell tale signs of the 4V vs a 2V? He and his dad bought this car in 77 as the second owner of the car. He has never replaced the engine. So if that's not the original then the guy he got it from must have replaced it. Here's the VIN 7F01C109508. As you can see it originally came...

It was a good Christmas this year.

Well I kinda thought it'd be odd for sleeved cylinders, too. Maybe it's just the pistons to keep the 289 ci. BTW, what kind of test or whatever can a guy do to find out what the CI is? How much oil do I put into the cylinders via the sparkplug holes? I'm assuming it'll start alright with oil...

It was a good Christmas this year.

Well I got a 67 Mustang for Christmas this year. WOOHOO!! My father-in-law gave me his 67 stang. It was his first car. I NEVER thought he would have done this. It's my new resto project. Anyways, it's got a 289 V8 2V in it. It's been rebuilt but that was about 4 years-ish ago and it hasn't...

    Buying a GT

The color means absolutely nothing. I'm an insurance agent so I kinda know. A mustang can be any color (or any car can be any color) and it doens't affect the insurance. That's the funniest thing I"ve ever heard! It's amazing what rumors are out there. I'm suprised you guys actually believe...

    95 Lightning Horsepower & tq?

Factory underated at 240 hp and 340 lb/ft of tq. The aftermarket is very good. The motor uses the same stuff as the 302 market. Heads, cam, etc. If the block serial number starts with F4TE then it is a roller READY (but still flat tappet) block. Those blocks cam out in the late 93 L production...

    4v Motor In My GT?

The 98 Cobra motor is a 305 hp motor. The Mach 1 is 300 hp. The 99 and 01 Cobra motor is 320 hp. There's a local guy here that put a 01 Cobra motor in his 99-up GT so I know it's do-able. I just don't know the details as to how he did it.

    Multimeter operation

Alright, I've got a new digital multimeter that I'm trying to figure out if I"m operating it correctly. A few things I'd like to do is check the resistance of my FMS spark plug wires, TPS voltage, IAC, etc. When checking for resistance how do I know which setting to put the meter on? Same thing...
