Horse Power gain from Stock Headers to Shorty Headers

I am currently running a stock 302 with stock headers and Magnaflow mufflers. I was thinking of upgrading to shorty headers. Can any one give me an expected horse power gain that I may expect. Current horse power with my stock 302 is estimated at 225. Thanks.

    Painless wiring

I have used and installed both. Ron Francis in my 32 Ford and Painless in my 66 Mustang. I just purchased another Painless kit for a 65 Mustang that I am about to install. The thing that I didn't like about Ron Francis's kit is that the wires are NOT connected to the fuse block. Each wire...

How's this for a ride home in a new Mustang... My brother purchased a 65 Mustang in Southern California when he lived there but knowing soon he was coming back home to New Jersey. After tuning everything up, engine and brakes, I flew out to him in CA and we drove it back to NJ some 3000 miles...

Looking for a Mustang. Please help!!

You can also start by contacting Oregon's DMV. When I purchased my Mustang from California I contacted their DMV to find some info out. You'll need to fill out some forms, pay a small fee, and wait until they mail you the results. I found a lot of info this way, it was well worth the effort...

High volume oil pump & oil pressure gauge reading

A high Volume pump will not cause high pressure. It just flows more oil at the same stock pressure.

    Traction Bars and Sway Bars...

Latamud, are you saying it could cause wheel hop or just make it feel like wheel hop? I did not have any issues until I upgraded to Limited Slip, so if your saying a bad motor mount can cause the same feeling then I should of felt it even before I installed limited slip. Correct?

    Traction Bars and Sway Bars...

If I am running Traction Bars (slapper bars) should I be removing the rear sway bar? The reason for asking is that I have wheel hop and have installed a set of slapper bars and I am having trouble dialing them in. I have reduced the hop but not completely. I still can't believe I have...

    Competition Engineering traction Bars CEE-2109

Well I called Competition Engineering. What they said was their package is for 9 inch rears only! However you can retool the 4 holes for the u-bolts and the hole for the shock and there will not be any safety issues. We'll see how that goes...

    Competition Engineering traction Bars CEE-2109

I don't think so. The size of my axle at the u-bolts are 2 1/4 where the u-bolts go over, that set is for 2 3/4. But thanks. I'll see what else they have to offer.

    Competition Engineering traction Bars CEE-2109

OK I just received Competition Engineering Traction Bars part number CEE-2109, which states that it's for a 65 through 73 Mustang. And as some of you already know it doesn't fit my stock 66 8 inch rear. The stock u-bolts I have are 2 5/8 from center to center and the ones from C.E. are 3 1/2...

I purchased a 2 1/2 Inch Cowl for my 66 Coupe from KAR. First this is the first fiber glass part I have ever purchased but I was happy with what I received. The fit and the quality of the outside of the hood was nice. However if you plan on making a show car you will have to do some work on...

    Timing won't stay set

Have you taken out the Distributor to inspect it? (I didn't see if you did.) I had this issue and after I pulled out the distributor I could NOT turn it by hand. Yes I know you state that the distributor is not moving, but I also don't think it's the timing chain, because if the chain was...
