does this sound like a scam?

Haven't had to deal with that kind of situation, but if you have the money in hand I would assume you shouldn't have too much to worry about. Could always use an escrow service, too...

    Chrome TTIIs? Do they exist?

All I've been able to find are the polished, which are pricey enough, so of course I want to add to that and find chromes. Haven't been able to come up with anything though in my magazines or in a google search or two... has anyone seen these or are they not manufactured?

    Bullitt vendors with custom backspacing?

I'm going to switch to some kind of 9" but I don't know which at this point, I guess it will depend on money more than anything. And I think I'll go with 245/45/17s rear 225/40/17s front... people say they can fit 235 front and dogestang's chart supports that, but then blkfrd has the same...

    Bullitt vendors with custom backspacing?

One more question before I order these babies... would it be smart to order the aftermarket rims with larger backspacing since I know that I will likely make changes to my rear and brakes in the relatively near future? or should I try to stick to standard 4.5" bs and make the new mods work...

    Bullitt vendors with custom backspacing?

Well sounds to me like the latemodel rims will be fine for my needs then, problem is, I can't find any that are any cheaper than the $200/ea no-spacer-needed rims on customwheelsmarket.com, especially when you factor in their free shipping. Hopefully I just haven't found a cheaper vendor though...

    Bullitt vendors with custom backspacing?

Thought about that but decided that I don't want to get into spacers just to keep it simple and have that one less point capable of giving me trouble later on... Though maybe it would be to my advantage to have that extra space to work with in the event that I changed something up later and...

    Bullitt vendors with custom backspacing?

Who sells bullitts with 4.5 or 4.75 backspacing? Links? Experiences? I do want 4.75" if I can find it, as opposed to 4.5, right? Also, would doing a disc brake conversion screw with my backspacing?

    What about 17x9s?

    Fair enough, thanks.

    What about 17x9s?

Also, they have +24mm listed as backspacing on these wheels. This converts to just under an inch... which cant be the overall backspacing can it? I'm going to need 4.75 - 5" backspacing on wheels of this size, I'm pretty sure. Is this right?

    What about 17x9s?

Dodgestang's chart only runs up to 17x8 before skipping up to 18s... does this mean that my '66 coupe would have problems fitting 17x9 rims all around without heavy mods? I'm considering this route because I certainly like wider tires on a car like this, but beyond that the mustang partshopper...

Need some advice relative to new wheels, discs, and possibly rearend

True, but I don't know how far I'll be taking this car, and I've heard plenty of times on these forums of people breaking 8.8s and having to rebuild, replace, or hop up to a 9"... I don't know, I think if I'm going to do it I should go ahead and do it to last, so unless the 8.8 is...

Need some advice relative to new wheels, discs, and possibly rearend

OK, well I'll be sure not to roll the fenders until I know I need to, and I guess that rules out needing to use a negative wedge kit as well. What tires are people running successfully with this size? Also the brakes and rear end... will that affect the backspacing I need on the rims? I'll...

Need some advice relative to new wheels, discs, and possibly rearend

OK, I'm planning to mount 17x8" chrome bullitts to my '66 coupe, and while I'm at it I'd like to change over to disc brakes. What are the advantages of 4 wheel vs. front discs? What conversion kits have people found that work with wheels of this size on an otherwise stock car? Also, I do plan...

    The battery, she won't charge!

Got the new alt wired in as WORTH advised a few days ago ( http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=489444 ), and since then have been working on various other parts of the car after testing that everything started up well (let me be the first to tell you what a difference re-grounding and...

    Alternator Upgrade ?

Not to hijack the thread, but norcal, did you buy the chrome 100 amp mentioned? I just installed one but wired it up as worth advised me in this thread http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=489444 and it seems to be providing power, but I think there is a short somewhere as the battery has...

How to wire this new alt in?

Got the mounting figured out, now however I'm trying to discover how to wire it in. I bought this alt from NPD to fit my '66 yet the wiring in my car was changed sometime between build and me, and so I have installed entirely new harnesses throughout the engine compartment. The harness I show in...
