    Trans is shifting way too smooth. Why?

    Never thought about that. It hits nearly 6K before it shifts now. It used to shift closer to 5-5500. But gears alone shouldn't do that right? I also used a Jeep 23 tooth speedo gear but again that shouldn't have anything to do with it.

    The clip wasn't too small, the slot in the gear wasn't wide enough for the clip.

    I replaced my 18 tooth gear for a Jeep 23 tooth gear. It matches up pretty well but the slot for the retainer clip is too small. Any problem with leaving it off?

    Why tape the lenses? Just take the bezel off. Be very careful though they are kinda fragile. If I remember right theres a few small screws, once those are removed theres a few plastic clips. (This is for the 96-8) Take your time and you should be all set. Its alot easier than masking the...
