    Disk thing on back of rotor?

    I do believe it is the abs ring. It is inside the back of the rotor covering over the back of the wheel studs. It looks like a disk with lots of slots cut out of it.

    I am in the process of replacing my wheel studs on my 91 GT. I have taken the rotor off and when I flipped the rotor over I noticed a disk thing that looks like the disk of a mountain bike brake. I was wondering how you remove this disk as it seems like it won't move. Any help would be appreciated?

    Car is a 97 GT automatic convertible. Lately the gas gauge has been acting up. Start the car up and the guage reads high. Drive it and it stays the same. Start the car up at a later time and the gauge will read something totally different. Any idea as to the problem ? Rick

    Maverick, Interesting suggestion. I spoke with a guy from a tranny shop out your way and he suggested the same thing. I replaced the output shaft seal with a green coloured one from L--dco, tranny guy says get a "better one" as the green ones aren't very good. rick

    Amp Wrecked

    The two subs and amp are built into a custom enclosure in the trunk of the Mustang. Maybe it is overheating ? Will try relocating the amp where it can run cooler and see if this helps ! Thanks.

    Cheapest way to get cobra brakes on my stang?

    I just did a rear disc conversion on my 91 GT. I kept my stock length axles by using a special bracket made by North Race Cars. The rotors and calipers are from a 98 Mustang. The bracket worked great, allowing me to keep the stock length rear axles so no backspacing or rubbing issues. Rick

    Hey bluevenom 867, what do you mean when you say: make sure your computer is calibrated to the 24#ers. What does this entail ? I swapped up to 24# injectors, and put a 24# sampler tube in my 73 C&L meter. I didn't do anything with the computer. What am I missing here. Rick

    E303 cam

    I have to pass smog testing so that was the reason I chose the E cam. Not really up on these things however I don't know if you could get through smog testing with anything "bigger." Anybody have any thoughts on this ? Rick
