how and where to add seatbelts for 65 fastback

Being as they didn't come with rear seat belts, I would think you could fab. up some anchor points like the front seats have, the same ones may work, just cut a hole and weld them in, and then use rear lap belts from a later model year.

    Intake Shopping

In my quest to find a correctly date coded 2bbl intake, 4H- or 4J-, I have yet to find one anywhere. Can someone suggest some places that carry used/oem/nos parts that I possibly haven't heard of, like a Mom & Pop type place? I've called about every place that has come up on yahoo seach, and...

    Windshield Washer Pump

In my effort to restore my 65 FB, I want to put in a windshield washer system. Can someone explain to me: 1. Where the pump mounts? 2. What pump to buy 1 speed or 2 speed? 3. How do the sqirters mount on the hood? 4. What is used to secure the lines so they don't get in the way? 5. Where...

    Sparking Alt.

This weekend while working underthe hood I reved the car while it was running. I noticed when I did that sparks would shoot out of the front of the alt. Not like fireworks or anything, but enough that I noticed it. Is this normal?

    Another Originality ?

I found a source for my correct date coded 2bbl intake. So, my question is, before I buy, when Ford would build a 289, (in my case) would the Block, Heads, Intake, etc, all have the same casting number date, or are the date codes just within the same time era. I assume they wouldn't match by...

    Clay Bar = AMAZING!

Swirl marks I don't know, I didn't have any. Water spots, kiss'em good by! Even if it is baked in the sun, I really think this clay bar will easily take it out.

    Clay Bar = AMAZING!

The process is pretty simple. In the kit you get a clay bar, instant detailer, and a bottle of cleaner wax. You wash and dry the car. Then you use the instant detailer as a lube and spray one area at time. Once you wet an area you just rub the clay back and forth until it rubs smoothly. You...

    Clay Bar = AMAZING!

Just thought I'd share. This weekend I picked up a Mother's clay bar kit. It took about 4 hours (lots of contamination) to do the whole car, but you can't believe the difference a clay bar will make on your paint. I put on a coat of Zaino afterwards, and if your into the "wet" look on your...

The Long and Short of it?

I have a (dumb) question that I really want the answer to. What is the difference between a 302 long block and a 302 short block. Is it the obvious, one is just longer than the other? What makes up the major differences? And, if you were to replace a 289 with a 302 in a 65 Fastback, which...

    Got my headers finally.

I'm not surprised to hear about your passenger side woo's. I had the same issue. The driver's side went in in a snap, the passenger side had to be persuaded with a 3ft pry bar. Now that I know the trick to the pass. side I can do it nearly as fast. Those dang shock towers! You'll like the...

65 FB Owners...I need a look at your seats!

Can anyone please post or e mail me detailed pics of the folding rear seats in a 65 Fastback? I have dissasembled mine, had them repainted, recarpeted, and all new chrome. I paid a "professional" to put it back together, and it is very half-assed and I don't think it was reinstalled properly...
