    i need a new distributor for my 93 5.0 ive looked at the parts stores and all i find is ones with cast iron gears and ones with steel gears. my stock one has a bronze gear and it is all ate up. can i run any of the ones above? i have a stock cam thanks trevor

    i met a guy last night at the track. he has a 2001 gt, stock motor, focus fuel pump,36lb injectors, and a t-trim running 10 pounds of boost, steeda exhaust and 3.27 gears........his best time is a 13.00.....thats way too slow!!!!!! he says he has an sct tune too....and that modular powerhouse...

    i agree that when you have a problem you should find out what caused it before you started replacing parts. BUT there are some things that can be replaced without really questioning why.....one of those is a clutch cable. it has been discussed time and time again about how MOST aftermarket...

    ok smart ass...... :rolleyes: the aftermarket cables are CRAP......the ford cables are the way to go....they are much stronger than any other made..... BTW they arent $100 they are $76 from the dealer

    they are safe on a daily driver.....with the skinny's in the front you have to be careful in the rain and around sharp corners.....just use common sense the regular weld prostars, drag lites and rod lites are fine for daily driving. they are a fairly strong wheel. now weld makes a drag race...

    i admire your wanting to do this but........you can just as easily buy a cobra motor, harness and ecu for a little more and be set.....ive seen used 99 cobra motors for 2800.00 is it the HP your looking for? or is it that you want a 4 cam? if its HP you want go for ported SOHC heads and VT...
