I have a 2005 v6 automatic stang with around 135,000 miles on it. The car will drive in the forward gears with no problem. However, when in reverse, it will only move until you hit around 1,300 rpm’s. At that point, there is a lurch and a ”clunk” and the gear disengages until the rpm’s fall, then it will reengage again. I’m partially disabled and cannot afford to pay to have the vehicle worked on, but I can do many things myself. This is the only vehicle we own and I appreciate any opinions or pointers on troubleshooting. Thanks in advance!
