Hadn’t started another build thread in a while and Ive picked up and started a few more cars so we’ll try another build thread. I picked this coupe up for $100 bucks. 92 Notch orginial 5.0 auto car. Its whats pictured. A shell with most of it missing. Zero interior, no wiring, no drivetrain, no fenders, front bumper etc. Since Im going to redo and make new then its perfect for me.

This part of the thread title "92 Aero T-top notch build thread" seems oddly familiar to me.

I Always start with the worst. Quarter had some damage so did a partial replace. Replaced the damaged door with a vert door I had on had and its already a better car. Cut the roof for T-tops. Just your average stuff.

I realize that this is not what you do but this and [all] of your threads provoked a thought:

A dude that buys Fox/SN95 Stangs, strips them all down, does all the bodywork, paint, glass, and trim, and that's it... Inside has 3 pedals (even if it started as an auto), a steering wheel, door and window handles and gets sold that way.

Some el-cheapo wheels and tires, OEM style shocks and control arms (or maybe LCAs like MM that are good in [all] scenarios), OEM style brakes and 5-lug.

I dunno. It seems like there would be a [huge] market for something like that for peeps that want to do projects but like me, can't do paint and body worth a flyin'-fook.

I think the problem for Kevin on that model is he simply will not allow less than perfect paint and body to leave his shop like that, which would put the roller out of the price range most people would want to spend. Then there's the wait list he already has so no time. I'm sure there's a market for it for other "builders" but I can't see Kevin doing that.
