What paint do you use on the springs? Would think it would crack when compressed and with the cycling. I’m pretty sure what your doing won’t otherwise you wouldn’t do it.
Paint wort crack. It stays soft and flexible. Its actually the primers that can crack if compressed. I powdercoat all these pieces first in as close of a match as I can get to body color. Then I only have to put a small amount of actual paint on
