Progress Thread “Rising from Ashes 5” 86 4 eye T-TOP notch build

Well, they were on eBay in like 2015/16 and it was some warehouse clear out deal. Of course I have certain key words I search everyday for deals and bam...They had a ton of sets for $400 shipped. I was like how much for 10 sets shipped. $300 a set and there you go.

This method works. You should see my side-boob collection. :O_o:

Well, tackling this debacle now. This is going to involve some rust repair and other crap. This isn’t rust from conditions. It’s rust from a poor repair. Just because you have a building and call your self a repair business doesn’t make people qualified to fix :poo:. Prime example.

Suddenly I am much more proud of the repair job I did on my floors (and I, with the help of Utoob, taught myself to weld)

Yep. Yuh wouldn’t believe the kind of half ass crap we see everyday in these cars it’s just unreal. And it seems like every single one is hiding something dumb. Unless somehow it was never messed with. I’m just glad the shop that had it for like 24 years was too lazy to even attempt to screw anything up. Just sitting there collecting dust was the best work they ever did

I just have to say that it’s awesome to me that you do this work in a carport. Not some big fancy shop. Obviously you don’t paint the final coats there, but even so, just goes to show what can be done with the right skills and mindset.

Yep. That’s a good point. No excuses.
I let the employees and customer cars have the shop space. I’m just like the guy living in a van down by the river out here working on my cars Lol! But I love working outside. And you don’t have to worry about venting.
