01 Saleen S281

I have the opportunity to purchase a 58000 mile 01 Saleen. From the factory it was non aspirated but has had a series IV Saleen blower installed with the factory gauge set up. It is a mineral grey vert with heat extractor hood option and the style bar. It is an 8 out of 10. $18000. What do you guys think.

Pretty low miles for an 01 but follow up with Saleen with the VIN and build number to make sure it is a true Saleen if you haven't already.

As far as price? NADA says high retail is $26K, average is $18K and low is $13K. That said my 03 is worth $18K. I paid $11K nearly two years ago with 78K miles. Banks will give loan value on the same year GT. So basically it is worth what you are willing to pay. There isn't a milage option on the NADA site so I'm guessing the high is on a really low mile car (under 25K). I'd say one in perfect condition with the miles you are looking at would be around $16K.
