01 V6 want to switch auto trans for 5speed

01 V6 want to switch auto trans for 5speed..Help me PLZ

where can i find one? is there going to be alot of electrical work? is there a subsitute, like a 94-5 GT T5, i have an auto, but im wanting a stick.. help me.

its gonna take time and $. First u got to buy a tranny,Clutch and assembly, new computer, new wiring, pedal assembly etc. Probably better off getting a new tranny fronm frpp or such. A person with intermediate mechanic skills and some luck could probably do it though. The nice thing though is if u can find a low milage GT 5 speed all your parts r there for excluding the computer. Why

Why would you want to do that?? With the proper gears,and tune,the AOD can't be beat...Providing you have the 8.8 rear end.I know I have an AOD,I like sticks,but I would never swap!! The money your going to pay for the swap could be put into performance...like a Supercharger,or Turbo!! whichever you prefer!!!! Just my opinion
