I am completely up in the air with what to do about the intake on my v6 stang. Some people tell me its a waste when it comes to a v6 and others tell me its worth in gas milage, performance and alittle power.
There are so many options when it comes to a cold air intake that If I do decide to do something- which route should I take.
- Should I just replace the stock air filter with a K&N and be done with it?
- Should I add a performance air filter on the end of the intake pipe and then add a funnel on the front of the car to draw in more air?
also some people say you dont see a diffrence in a v6, the other day I took off the silencer tube off of my stock intake box and I could see an acceleration diffrence. The car seemed a little more peppy- it did however change the tone of the duals from deep and low to soft and high?? By putting a real intake on is it going to do that with the duals?
I just need some advice so I can stop racking my brain over this, cause I know by screwing with the air intake you do see a diffrence- but whats going to far??
