03/04 cobra guys... what are you plugs gapped at?

For the local guys with chip & pulley 03/04 cobras... what plugs are you running and what gap is it set at? What is your timing @ WOT at around 6000 RPMs? And what is your 1/4-mile MPH trap speed? I just want to see what the correlation is with the different settings.

Mine:
I run the Denso IT22's @ .031 gap.
23 degrees of timing @ WOT at around 6000 RPMs
117+ MPH at PIR, 118+ MPH at Woodburn.

If you are ever out this way you should swing by the shop and say hi!

We usually gap between .030 and .035 depending on boost levels.
Typically we run NGK copper plugs. They are cheap and last well.

Here is a breakdown of the plugs and heat ranges:

I run AGSF-22FM1 Motorcraft plugs and regapped them at .035 and my trap is 110-114 mph depending on tune. The early Cobras came with the -12FM1's but when they changed my cylinder head they gave me these. The current Cobras now are getting the -22FM1's.

Jon... good to hear from ya again. Thanks for all the info on the different plug types.

Here's a question for ya. If a car runs a little rich, does it make more sense to widen or close the gap?

No track times or trap speeds yet, hopefully next week I can find out.

Go for it. I am very interested to see how your car performs, especially with a ported Eaton and custom tune! Your car should be right around 120 MPH.

Ya Id be happy with a 120 trap speed for my first outing ever. Seems like the trap speeds are real low at PIR based on what I saw this past Saturday.

Lots of the guys with the same setup as me were trapping in the mid 120's, but they are at the track like everyday. Im far from the being a professional, 8,000 miles under my belt driving manual

My NGK plugs are gapped at a tight 35..and timing i think now is at 21 or 22 wot.It was 22 and we lowered it at toque freaks and my HP/TQ#s went up
