How hard would it be to throw the eaton supercharger on my 97? would I have to get forged internals or would the bottom end be okay? Just wondering because its probably the best and cheapest way to run boost on my 4v. How hard is it to do a 5.4l swap? because if its actually easier than I'm thinking ill just save up to do that instead.

I would never swap that motor for a 5.4L. :nonono:

Look at kits from Vortech, ProCharger, and my personal favorites Kenne Bell and Whipple.

Arguments about what makes the most power are irrelevant. If it's a street car, the big question is, "What's going to be the most fun"?
"Positive Displacement Superchargers" are the answer.

Don't get greedy with the boost and have the blower combo tunes professionally on a dyno. If you're mechanically inclined, you can likely install the kit yourself then trailer the car to the tuner.

Thanks for the input! I am planning to keep my 4v but I just wanted to see if people use the 5.4L and actually do well with it.

I was looking on whipple and they only have it for 03-04 cobras not the 96-98's would they fit on mine still? kinda a dumb question I know but I just dont want to get the wrong thing when I do.:fight:
