PLEASE !!

With a 03 cobra bought for MSRP ($35k) Now in perfect shape sells for low $20K is not holding value at all. With only 621 being white, these cars should hold there value.

Proves my point Mustang are not worth the price paid new.........

What happened to the 29K being an insane deal??

No car is worth the price paid new, they are decreasing in value every day they are owned. Some will hold market value better than others and the 03/04 Cobra is holding up pretty well.

Because there were only 621 white ones made, what the heck does that mean. That it is rare. If someone wants white, then they will buy it, but if they don't they will pass. Rareity means nothing on a 2 year old car unless it is a special paint like a Mystichrome.

As long as Ford continues to make power adder cars, the 03/04 will continue to fall in value.

you can find them for less then 30k. the good, unmolested ones sell for higher though. usually 27ish + for those.

hell, i waited around for an unmolested one. then i molested it after a couple weeks. (pulley). however, now that ive had the car, and seen them modified. i wouldnt hesistate to buy one pullied, if the tune is quality, and some other mods/maintance is done too.

anyway, expect to pay 25k and up for a quality car. i paid 23k for mine with 11k miles, bone stock. the rest of the cobra's around me (in washington) have sold for 28k and 33k.

Is this Halloway? If so this is Morgan let me know. Later

Mach 1's are still doing pretty good as far as value goes. Most low milage ones are right about 20k or so and I think a lot of people bought them when they had that 6k rebate. 23 or 24k is probably around what most paid. Cars are overpriced anyways, in 40 years or so prices have increased 10X not 10% but 10X. I think its fair to say the average car price was 35 years ago was 2500-3000. Now the average price is around 25-30k. Well maybe not average but average for a mustang. That represents a 25% increase in price each year for 35 years. Thats insane. Well over 6% inflation. (Im assuming inflation isn't compounded.) Can you imagine that happening again in the next 35 yrs.....mustangs that cost 250-300k.....ouch

I just sold mine to a member of this forum (86stang) for $24,500... I was asking $25,000. I had 24.5K miles on it and around $4K in mods and was making 477rwhp/491rwtq. People can ask any price for their snake but if it is not priced right it will never sell. I had looked around for a while checking what other cars with my mileage and similiar mods were going for, some were asking more but I felt my asking price was fair, (maybe a little low) but I knew it was a good deal and it would sell. Dave (86stang) got a sweet deal and everyone is happy.:nice:

I wanted to re-visit this thread again - been about 6 months since I started it.

I've been seeing the prices drop a LOT. Someone mentioned 2 categories (modded and stock/low miles) and this is also true, but as a whole, they are finally taking a little hit. Maybe due to the GT500?

I'm seeing modded (with KB), low mile cars sitting for sale at $26-27 and just not moving. I've also seen 1000 mile cars offered at $30k, but still not moving.

Maybe it's the time of year, but it really does seem that sales are slowing and/or prices are dropping.

Check my link to completed ebay items above. Maybe 3-4 our of 50 cars sold - and those were pretty cheap (one 03 10th Ann vert with 8k miles for 27,900)
