I have an 01 Cobra with 25K miles that has just developed a rattle from inside the engine. 3 ford techs listened and confirmed it's a Rod, either a bearing or wrist pin. The Dealership wanted $8K to put in a reman longblock. I have found an 04 complete motor with all accessories, harness, computer air flow meter and the tranny still attached. the Motor checks out as far as compression, vaccuum and oil pressure. I can get the 04 stuff for under $5k, possibly closer to $4k. The question is... how straightforward would that swap be, and what incompatibilities do I need to be prepared to overcome?
