Was thinking about getting a 03 cobra but was worried about the head tick issue. Found one with 120,000 miles and not sure if it was produced after nov 2nd 2002, was wondering with that many miles is there even a point in getting the head cooling mod?

With that many supercharged miles it's probably time for an engine overhaul/re-fresh if it's all original. That would include re-freshing the heads. A perfect opportunity to do any engine mods you would otherwise be thinking of.

The high milage should be a negotiating point for a better price on the car.

Really? Thought these motors were good for over 250k when taken care of and left remotely stock like this one

If driven like a normal car and not gotten on much with regular oil changes they can get some miles out of them. If driven hard who knows, every engine is different. The weak point will still be the chain tensioners and guides though which get brittle over time.

Its my understanding that the engine has to come out to do the cooling mod due to lack of space between the heads and firewall.
