03 rear diff cover issues

a friend of mine has an 03 cobra and just broke the rear diff cover. he called summit and asked them if one of their rear girdle covers would work on the car with the ind. susp.. they told him it would and sent him a trick flow rear cover and now hes ready to kick the car off the stands because it wont fit. has any body ran a different cover? any suggestions would help too! thanks

He should have bought a Billet Flow IRS Differential Brace.

Can he return the part he has.

Go over to www.svtperformance.com and check out the billet flow IRS braces and the installation instructions.

Yeah they probably sold him a cover for a solid.

http://www.billetflow.com/irs_brace.htm is what he should have had on there before. (Notice one in my sig!)

Now he should buy the part listed above and a new cover $$$.

Tell your friend to call Steve at Tousley Ford 1-800-328-9552 he can get the new cover at 10% over Ford cost. Tell him to be sitting down when he calls, those covers are not cheap.

thanks a bunch for the help guys! yeah the cover is for a solid,summit and brothers both said hed be fine using that cover because it says 79-04.
