'03 V6 Automatic w/4.10 gears?

Has anyone tried changing from stock gears on a V6 automatic to 4.10's. Or is it a waste of money on a V6. I'm not even sure what stock gears I have now (I think 2.73's)? Do I also have to change to a posi (T-Lok) in order to use the 4.10's? I'm sure my stock gears on my '03 (Auto. Trans) do not have T-Lok. I don't even think they were an option on the V6 Automatic. Any insight on this is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can benefit from the gears, even 3.73 gears and if you plan on spending more time on the highway than the drag strip the 3.73's are a better way to go. No you don't HAVE to go to a Tlok at the same time but it would be advantageous to so because after you put the gears on, you'll be burning the rubber on just one wheel more than you were. You go to the Tlok and you'll get better times because you won't just sit there and fry the tires when you punch it. No, the 7.5 rear ends did not come with the Tlok.
