I put on cat-back manga flow 3'' tip Dule exaust on my stock 03 manual v6 and now i lost alot of back prusser, what can i do to fix that, how to build up torque? any comments will be nice, thanks

Unfortunately that's what happens when you do a cat back. You feel it more in a V6. Your gonna lose a few ponies down low. I wouldn't have thought you would feel a dramatic loss, but I never owned a 6 though. Your gonna have to do some other mods to make up for it. Do some gears.

3" duals are just way too big for a 6. No amount of tuning will overcome physics. You'll either have to live with it, or go with smaller piping.

Did you yank the cats? If so, put them back on.

Also, are these just 3" tips or the entire exhaust?

BTW, tuning will run you $400+ but won't fix your prob

First off, give us a little more info....was this a Magnaflow catback? If so, was it made for the V6 or was it a GT catback that you are connecting to your modified or aftermarket H-pipe.

Also, you didn't lose any torque, it just moved up in the powerband. Even though you don't have as much torque down low, you definitely gained HP up high. When I had my V6 and put on a 2.5 catback dual exhaust, I saw the same thing. Lost the torque down low but got a lot up high. The best way to fix that is to get a set of 3.73's or 4.10's.

true, yeah they are 2.5' piping but 3' tips so its made for the v6 but gears r the way to go and how would i find out what size any witchis better c im new to all this so ill get it soon enough.

You had two running threads in V6 Talk, both of which had been replied to asking for more information, neither of which he's responded to. I see no reason to ask the question a 3rd time in 5.0L Tech.

All three threads have been merged and moved to V6 Tech. Be patient, the answers will come. :)
