I am contemplating selling my STi and getting a new 04 Cobra.

What should I be paying for it? 28? 27??

I test drove one a few weeks back and I hated the 6 speed, it was just too damn far away from me. Is there any upgrades for that, or is that something I will have to live with?

Yes they have plnety of shifters on the market.

If you can find a new one for 28k then you got the deal and a half.

I paid 31,500 for my comp orange 04 Oct. 28th.

Anybody just buy one that could help me out on prices? Or knows a dealer?

The price depends on where you are in the nation. In Sacramento they are still 34+ new.

Don’t worry about the shifter they're plenty of good upgrades out there for under $250.00

I think you will like the change to the cobra, the STI is nice but the Cobra is addictive.

I drove an 04 but the salesman was a turd and wouldn't let me open it up and get on the highway, and I only got to here that turbo whine once which was cool. Much different from my turbo spooling which is cool to hear too.

I grew up with my dad collecting classic Mustangs among other classic cars and I have always loved them. Which is why I am contemplating this change. When I bought the STi it was winter and that was going to be my only car, and the Cobra is not good for NE winters. I can't wait for the 07 Cobra which I will definately purchase no matter what happens with an 04.

I had a 95 V6 (POS) in HS (1997), and the thing that disapointed me was the Cobra's dash was very close to being the same thing. Oh well at least the Cobra has a lot more balls
