Yes the T56 can be powershifted, although it's real tricky on some cars without using a new quadrant and firewall adjuster so the pedal and clutch release point are exactly right. There are plenty of video's out there of guys powershifting their 03/04 Cobra.

As for ET's in bone stock form... I know MM&FF got one down into the low 12's. Most of us average folks get high 12's when conditions are right.

Here's a vid of a guy powershifting his '04: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/B6683A6F-BDC7-41D4-AA69-BBB23087B5DD.htm

He's just asking if it can be done. Are you even reading these posts before you reply?

The stock clutch can be adjusted to where the friction point is power shift friendly but the adjustment is bass ackwards to how the owner's manual reads - which really only puts slack back in the cable.

As for 1/4 mile times, they will vary depending on: driver, launching, shifting, track prep, tires, altitude, humidity, and temperature (did I miss anything).

My car when bone stock ran 13.1's @ 107 (not power shifting and 2.1 60's). I added a K&N, mufflers, a mid-pipe and ran 12.6's @ 112 (not power shifting and a 1.9 - 2.0 60's). I put drag radials on and with another 1.9 60', power shifted a couple of 12.3's @ 113 (not spinning at the top of first or into second).

Hope this helps.

yes. as a matter of fact i am. it was already answered that it could be done. you can powershift ANYTHING with a manual if you want.

go back and re-read my last post. WHY???? all you do is blow **** up prematurely. if you know how to drive well theres a very minimal difference in ETs anyways.

Look I'm only going to say this once VR4. He asked a question if an '04 Cobra can be powershifted, not that he was going to do it mind you, but whether it was possible. His question was answered along with video proof. Then you jump into the thread and ask why? Well duh... Someone told him it couldn't be done, just as he stated in his original post. That's why he asked. Evidently reading comprehension owns you. Then to top it off you get nasty and insinuate he's 16 years old!? Where do YOU get off coming into a tech forum and not providing a technical response, only a smart ass comeback? If you have nothing technical to contribute to threads in the TECH forum take your smart ass comments to the BHR or I'll help you find a new forum to hang out in, Mkay?

I have been reading here for years. This forum is different from others in that we are respectful to each other. That's what’s cool about this place. Most of us are older professionals, mainly because insurance on these Terminators is costly, who like to get good advice. So we try to speak to each other professionally as well.

i guess you must not get to the track much? to get the most out of you're time power shifting improves et's. if he wants to pound on his tranny with a sledgehammer thats his business you dont have to jump down his throat and insult him.

yes the t-56 can be powershifted and it is a very strong transmission. not a junk t-45.

you are an idiot.

Powershifting gets lower ET's....this guy's post was asking about times, and powershifting. Meaning he knows powershifting gets lower ET's, but was concerned about rumors saying the cobra isn't capable of that....

Are you 16?

The lowest a 03-04 cobra ran in stock form was a 12.4 according to MM&FF, but that's with a kick ass driver like Evan Smith (along with perfect racing conditions) who's driven many cars and gotten times that are not done by average drivers.
