2004 Pontiac GTO LS1 5.3 13.8

13.8 1/4, you got it. your probly in the real low 13 range with that H/C/I, 12's with slicks, those things are heavy.

race from a dig and find some traction, your gears, weight, (believe it or not i bet hes heavier than even our verts) and decent power will beat him unitl about 100, then he'll start catchin ya

I think you will beat him but I wouldn't take it for granted. That GTO is mid to high 13 second ride from the factory, just google "2004 gto quarter mile" and read up.

It takes about .1 seconds to blink. Just to put that into perspective. Make sure you get traction because you're going to have to get him off the line. The LS1 will reel you in on the top end.

I've never heard of an LS1 powered mid 13 second car be described as slow before... that LS1 is more powerful then F body LS1s, taking HP to 350 from 325. 350 fwhp is about 300 rwhp, which is about what you have with that TFS kit.

You're advantages are in weight and rear end gearing. Your 4.10s to his 3.46s. Good luck!

My best friend has an '05. I've driven it and it's a decent car, but it's not really incredible by any means. Biggest struggle for him is traction with the 6 speed. It either fries the tires or wheel hops so bad you think it's going to shake apart. I've got him covered by a good 3-4 tenths on most runs, and my times are in my sig.

well for what you get stock i think its a good car think of what it runs bone stock to a mustang bone stock...sure guys with hci and all can beat them but not everyones at that stage and to put 2k in a engine to hang with a stock car makes me sad

Again, it's going to be more of a driver's race, so as said before, bone up on your shifting skills before heading to the track

I've been out of the loop here for a while.. O.k. weight is 3720 and the cars can be quick with a good driver. My best run stock was 13.5 at 105 so that's not to bad. A few bolt-ons and I was 13.0s and added a cam and 12.6s. Now 10s . . . They are ok from a dig but they are stronger from a roll due to taking some of the weight out of the situation.

According to GM the difference is 5 pounds from M6 and A4 but I found that hard to believe.

I had a friend that has an 04 Auto with just Nittos 555Rs and ran 13.8s and got just a dynotune and know runs 13.4s. The stock auto TCM program is a joke.
