I have a the chance to get an 04' mach 1 5 speed and in the orange color for $19,785 out the door. Is that a good deal to you guys? I sold my 00' White Spring Edition GT Last fall and am looking to go n/a this time, no super charger. What are the hot mods for the Mach 1's? I do not want to spend another 10K on just motor and blower. I have a mod budget of 7k. Help me out guys.
Thanks,

Brandon

Sounds like a really good deal...especially being an 04..how many miles?
As far as mods go....Gear that bad boy! Nothing less than the .30's for you!

Buy it I would if I had 20gs. I want one in that color so bad. Next year maybe when I get out of graduate school.

That's the car I wanted but couldn't afford. Comp Orange is incredible on that car. Get it, build the rear, full exhaust, cams and heads. May be able to squeeze it all in for 7k if you can do the labor.

The car has 2,000 miles on it. It was a demo from the dealership. I wonder what I could get the 1/4 et's down to staying n/a? My GT n/a I could only muster 13.2 @ 104mph on bfg drags and bolt ons. When I ProCharged and did heads and cams and short block I was running 11.15 at 124 mph on slicks and 7 psi. If I can get the mach in the low 12's I would be happy. The only reason I want to stay n/a is due to drivability. My d1sc ProCharger sucked on the street.
Thanks
Brandon

I've heard of stock Mach 1's running 12.9s on slicks. Low 12s should be easily achieved with the right mods and good driving.

Get full exhaust, intake , 4.10s or 4.30 gears, and some drag radials and you will be set. Get the new KNN CAI it looks bad A$$ AND ITS FILTER TO THROTTLE and still uses the ram air

I would build up the rear end. Put a full exhaust LT's O/R H-X, catback, CAI, 95MM MAF, Intake Spacer, Chip and a tune by someone who knows what they are doing.. All of that should net you around 335rwhp and around 340 or so wrtq.. All I have is a full exhaust system built rearend with 4.10's and k&n filter and I'm putting down 308rwhp and 327rwtq... SAE.... If you want more then that put some cams in.. They cost about 1500 for the cams and I don't have the slightest clue what it would cost to have them installed..
