05 GT in England!

Oh yeah - I miss the sun, especially this time of the year. But to have such a unique vehicle almost makes up for it! I buy my gas on base (retired military, teach college on base, wife is a BX manager), so have the luxury of paying U.S. prices - much better than the 6-7 bucks a gallon they pay here. The wet roads and the mud from the farmers and their tractors is the biggest pain so far - I spend as much time washing it as driving, but it's worth it! Cheers!

You're right - my parking lights are now the turn indicators, and the place that did the conversion (included in my purchase price) added two tacky looking white lights on either side of the front plate, set back as far as possible. When they are off you don't notice them, but when on they look like crap. I'm talking to a mechanic on the air base where I teach who does conversions, he usually mounts the bulb inside the light assimbly, which will be much better. I think I will have him put them inside the fogs, for two reasons. I like the look of the fogs on during day-time driving, and if there is a problem it will be easier and cheaper to replace a fog light than an entire headlight assembly.
They also have to re-aim the headlights, of course, but the back needs work too. They took out my white back-ups, to convert the turn signals and also rewired them (somehow - I really don't know) added the required high intensity red fog rear light. No external difference, and it met the specs, so it works for me. I'll post pics of the front and rear lights so you can see what I mean. Hope this answers your questions. Thanks for the compliments, but as for thanking the locals - well, let's just say it was a more pleasant experience when I was stationed here during the Viet Nam era, 30 years ago. The vast majority here is so anti-Bush over the Iraq War that it makes me sick. Don't want to turn this great forum political, but I get the feeling that the only friend we have over here is Tony Blair. I really get sick of all the anti-American attitudes I get. Every once in a while I remind them that it nice to hear people in the UK speaking English and not German -
Nuff said - they still admire a fine piece of engineering and style, they love the great American Mustang!

I've found just the opposite - especially the couple of UK Ford dealerships I have stopped by. Yeah, everytime I pass one I drive up to their service area to give the mechanics a look, and they really appreciate it. No telling when, or if, they will see one, let alone look under the hood and at the beautiful interior. And when I tell them the price in the U.S. they cringe - there was one in the London Times on Sunday for 29,000 pounds, which is about $55,000!
