For some reason my 06 mustang has NO HOLES drilled in the harmonic balancer to use a puller on it.

is this normal did ford go to a special tool for 2006 for the balancers ?

there realy is no way to pull this balancer short of drilling and taping the holes in the three arms.

however there is no way im getting in there to drill the holes without removing the radiator etc.

I'll have to check that out on mine too! Thanks for the heads up. If mine does have holes, I'll post back to let you know.

Nope they do not have holes for you to pull with. You will have to get a puller that has fingers that pull on the backside of the balancer. I hope that helps.

Thanks Mike

My 05 also did not have holes!

I used a standard puller with an old socket as a spacer.
It was a tight fit, but no need to remove the radiator.

Ford really blew it on this little detail.

And the balancer was nearly WELDED ON... it took a whole lot of pressure and even some heating up to get it to break free.

GOOD LUCK!

It's way easier to use a 3 prong puller with the E-fan out of the car.
