My 2006 Lincoln Navigator may be done.
Engine needs to come out for clean-up, maybe full rebuild.

I know these engines are generally hated, and have experienced why…. But what would it actually take to swap a 3v 5.4 into a fox body, along with the 6spd automatic.

I have enjoyed the airbag suspension as well.
Has that been swapped into a fox body?

Basically, I want to consider all options at this point…

Horrible idea? If so, why?

K member, swap headers, 4.6 motor mounts, hydroboost or manual brakes,not sure on wiring

It has been done. Those engines are pretty tall, so you will need a cowl

Basically the same concept as any 4.6L/coyote swap. You’ll need parts, and some of them aren’t cheap.

All the expense, including rebuilding the 5.4….maybe coyote might be a better choice?

Swaps soak up time and money.
Most likely when this project is done it won't have been an effective use of either, especially if it needs shortblock work.
