06 tremec 3650 bolt up to a 2000 4.6

would it work? I have a 2000 GT that has a ruined 4th gear synchro (won't stay in 4th) and a throw out bearing that annoys the piss outta me. Also 3rd gear has been noisy to shift into since I got the car.

I'm just looking around ebay etc and see this brand new 3650 w/ 10 miles on it for $700. If it would bolt up I'll probably do it.

to make a long story short, no. the s-197 has a hydraulic clutch and the shifter is connected to the trans via linkage.

Why don't you just find a 04- earlier 3650, I picked up mine for 400 bucks and it included a tri-ax shifter with it. I see them all the time on ebay.

I've been looking but I can't find anything less than 700$

If I found that deal I'd jump all over it.
