hey guys , new to the site.. Just bought an 07 Shelby gy-h. It's the hertz rental car model so it's a Shelby without a supercharger.. but apparently it has a mild tune from Shelby? Not sure..

Anyway I bought a new sct c4 tuner and it says "uncompatable" after some time on the phone with sct and American muscle we all think the car may have a tune in it from a previous owner..

Any thoughts ?

I wonder if being that it was a rental car they somehow locked the computer down. Can't see how or way though. Usually your tuner will save whatever is in the car as the original tune. Did you send in the computer info from your car so the tuner you have is now married to your car and your car only?

Shelby GT-H is not a charger -less GT-500. It still has a 4.6L 3V. You can try to go to a Ford dealer and have them upload a stock tune to your car and try that, usually charge is one hr labor. Then try to connect your SCT, you may need to contact SCT if you had tunes specific gfor your PCM done from American Muscle. You can also try to contact Shelby and see if they have locked the PCM somehow.

hahaha go to dealer to have tune loaded, thats gonna end well

To see any real benefit from a tune, please go see a reputabele tuner with experience with that year Mustang
