What is the fattest tire that can be put on the stock 08' 18" rim? I would like to keep the same height as the stock tires.

Thanks!

To meet your requirement of stock height, I'd say 255/45 on all corners. It will be noticebly wider and is only around .2" shorter. You could go 275s in the back, I wouldn't though. 265 would be as wide as I'd go on the 8.5" wheel. Alot of the 275s are over an inch shorter or taller than stock, but they ae possible.

I'm going 285/40/18 in rear and 255/45/18 front on mine.

I have the stock 18" rims, 08' GT, they currently have 235x50's on all fours. I was thinking on leaving the 235's in the front and going to the widest I can put on the stock rim. Anyone have idea on size also that will most properly match the stock front tire.

Thanks!

255/45 which is about .2" shorter than stock is the closest. 265 and wider start dropping to about 1"+ shorter than stock.

Would a 285x40 fit on the stock rims? That size should be very close to stock height too.

It's very close height wise to stock, but it is 2" wider. I wouldn't run a tire that much wider with about 3-4" of sidewall.
