Ok well this thread really isn't for me. Just wondering if anyone needs, or would like any specific pics of this process? i just did it today, taking some pics along the way, but it was only a temp. install and it will be removed and reinstalled again this weekend...

i just know i had a real hard time finding any info on this. so if there is anything i can do to help someone out in the future, let me know... pics will be added soon btw, along with moulding refinishing pics...

its not too bad taking the 1/4 glass out, just need some patience. first thing is to take out all the screws that hold the interior quarter moulding, seat belt bolts (torx bit) and fold the rear seats down (if its a hatch). then you got like eight or nine 9mm nuts that bolt the glass to the housing. if you're lucky you can slowly press the glass out and use an exacto knife and trim all the butyl rubber off from the body. unlike mine one side was butyl the other windshield urethane sealant:notnice: . replacememnt is just the opposite. bout all i can think of:shrug:

n/m misread the thread lol.

well here's WHY i had to  :

After A LOT of sanding, priming, sanding, etc... (learned the hard way, get a good filling sandable primer, it will save you a lot of work!!!). started with 120, working up, finished sanding with 320 grit, then 2 coats of gloss black trim moulding spray paint:

just a pic of the inside of the old window, kind of shows the channel where the butyl tape should run...

window out...

interior coming apart, only needed to remove seat belt, and a bunch of interior screws and it will pull away enough to get at the 9 nuts needed to remove the window
