1/4 window replacement

this may seem like a dumb question, but was the 98 window glass from a convertible?

also, can you pull the window up, manually, any farther than it already is?

I know the 94-95 'vert rear windows come up in a strange fashion- they go straight up for the first 3/4 of the way, then at the very end they seem to move forward instead of up. I imagine this is due to the shape of the window, not the mechanism moving it, but I say that to say: I'd check to see if you can slide it up/forward a little more, the rear windows doesn't seal with the fronts until the very end, so it sounds like it just needs to move forward a little more. I'm not sure how the rears mounts to the motor, but on the front windows there are two or three mounting points- if the rears are the same perhaps you just need to slide the rear of the window up on the mount a little?
