All it will take is to throw away those nittos and get some BFG's or M/T's.

A non-slipping clutch, dr's (nittos will do it), 373's or steeper, and a bit more power than stock and you should get it pretty easily with a good 5spd driver that can work the clutch/gas pedal nicely

You should beable to get easy 1.8 60s from a stock motor and 4.10s with good drag radials. I've never seen anyone at my local track hook with Nittos... They're junk in my opinion... but that's just my opinion... And everyone has one.

I have Nitto's and love them...gave me the traction that I needed and last longer than those "other" dr's

No doubt they will last longer... because they aren't as sticky.

5.0fox - Yeah you can do it...just heat those Nitto's up (2nd gear burnout held for 5-7 seconds). You will feel/see the rpms drop as the tires heat up and try to grab. The Nitto's will grab good...you can pull a 1.8 60ft

Nitto's, gear, what you have is good enough for a 1.8 60ft. Maby it's the driving technique.

A good steady driver is what it will take. I'm getting stock 245 street tires into the 1.9s with wheelhop on a stock suspension. I have 3.73s..

heat em a little more after you think they might be heated....

and don't do a pu$$y 2k burnout...use 2nd gear and tach it up

start counting when you see smoke rolling good.

don't do a dry hop, stage deep and launch it hard on the last amber...try 3000 then step it up 1k or so for the next couple runs. (unless you break loose too bad on 3k)

should have no trouble at all , if you do, you need to make it hook and probably heat them longer
