Hello fellow stangers, I have a 2004 GT. I want to put the 10.5" wide wheels on the rear. A friend of mine had an 04 and put 19X10.5" wheels on his car but had a problem. We noticed after having the wheels on the car for 6 months, he had 5 dimples popping up on his roof. After taking it to the shop he was advised that the spot welds popped up on his roof because of the wide tires and the chassis flexing to much with the new tires. He was told he needed to put a special sway bar on the rear of his car to support the new wheels. He sold the car and never had any of the work done. Has anyone heard of this and if so what sway bar would I need? Or is there anything else I would need to do to support this project?
