11.8 @ 122 mph. believable or not with these mods..

Hey Guys,

I recently ran an 11.8 @ 122 mph using my Eagle F1s to a 1.91 60 foot.

Ive had BS called on me by what Im assuming to be someone stupid enough not to realize what people with 03 Cobras are running...

What are you guys running with these or similar mods?

2.8 pulley
Diablo Chip/Tune
Shifter
Densecharger
FR 500 catback
UPR O/R X pipe
Synthetic Oil ( it helps.. )
NGK TR6 gapped @ .35
Steeda Firewall Adjuster w/ 2 fork Clutch Quadrant

Also, I'll be installing a ported blower and idler pulley in very shortly.. I can get both of these for $400 shipped ( $300 for the blower alone ), so if you are interested, I will post up the results and help you guys get that deal for your own car.

I believe it. I've seen very comparable modded '03s running around those times here in Houston.

The trap mph appears a little higher, but I'd take a wild guess and assume you had some pretty decent cool weather, at least by Florida standards. You probably won't trap that high in July, but then again, you'll probably have greater traction with the heat.

Good runs :nice:

Sound right on target with your mods. Just a little high MPH, but most of the 11s I've seen (refering to actually at the track) have been done with at least dr's. So you running on street tires should help keep your mph up. I don't see anything wrong with your time at all.

I have a couple mods like that but i plan on running on some nittos that are on my gt when i take it out there and i also want to put the 100mm idler pulleys on there also my goal is to be in the 10 sec area i am in the 11's now I need traction and less belt slippage and a AOD then i am THERE 18lbs of boost Yeah baby

1.9 60ft with an 11.80.....lol sounds like it was really picking hard after that. Honestly that sounds like a good time I've seen a lightning locally with a little more run 11.97.

I think the S-351 ran 11.90 and they were 495hp.

uhhhh

Hey Dallas 01gt NICE ICON....looks familiar hmmmmmmmm
that looks exactly like my burnout pic! dohhh

Yeah i think you can do better than 11.8 with some practice...depends on the track and weather conditions too..

I ran my 11.70 in temps around 50 with low humidity and lots of cool down time thanks to a really crowded englishtown race day... and then of course got yelled at big time by the tower... and yes I REALLY only have the mods in my sign.. (before some imp owner starts crying)

MY FAV PICS!

Usually the more you spin off the line the higher you will trap. When I first started running my 03 at Wilkesboro's 1/8, I was trapping 97 mph on F1's. I told a friend of mine that is a big time drag racer that when I got a set of ET Streets I would trap over 100. He told me that believe it or not, my trap would probably drop. He was pretty much right. On average, my trap dropped to 95 on that track but my ET dropped by half a second. I ran there in the middle of one hot as hell day and was trapping 99.7 but could never hit 100. The track was a little slick and it help me trap higher. I would rather have a 7.0 ET than a 100 trap anyday.

true true

Yeah same thing happened to me when I was in stock form and switched to Drag Radials. ET went up and trap speed went down a few mph. Still happenes sometimes When I spin a bit off the line. Ill see higher trap but a lower et
