Has anyone used tpms sensors from advance auto. They are supposed to be oem. Do I still need a programmer for them? Thinking I'll just buy two wheels and tires for the rear

20 inch rims. I bought my rims and tires from LMR and added the TPMS and programmer from them. The TPMS didn't go off so i didn't really need it. See first if you need to buy one

Sidewall thickness is a major player. I had Michelin SuperSport 305/35s on the rear and they didn't get traction on the street for . My Continental DWS 275/40s work just fine, though....

looking at buying new tires for the rear of the car. i want it to hook up but still wanna drive it daily. Thinking nitto nt555 or invo, maybe firstone firehawk indy 500s, but the back rim is only 8.5in wide. whats the max width everyone is running. might get new 10in wide rims to run 275/40/19. still want to be able to run the car in auto cross as well as drag racing. whats the secret to getting these cars to hook up. my old 97 gt didnt have this problem haha

My 2012 Gt I have 275/35/20s brand new Firestone Fire hawks on the back and it hooks up really good and I think my lowering springs help too.

Jack up the back of the car with it in neutral. Roll either rear tire forward. The other should also turn forward. If it doesn't, there's an issue.
