I went to the track this weekend and found a Diamond in the rough! I was having an OK time watching the local guys run their Newer mustangs and older Camaro's and then out of the corner of my eye I see this bright yellow car. It was so far away I could hardly tell what it ways but I was hoping! When it got closer, yet it sure was... A 1978 Mustang II!!!

It looked good too!

He had a really good burnout:

Then he launched like a rocket! 3" - 5" off the ground!

His time:

So it ended up being a very good night!

All tubbed out, stripped interior, open headers, Lexan glass, and only high 11's? I'm far from impressed. It is nice to see one, though.

He has spent all his money on car and hardly any on the engine. He was running a 351C with only slight mods. To be honest my MII was louder than his Open headers

There were only about 4 cars the entire night that pulled their front tires off the ground every time and his MII was one of them. Now that he has the traction down, he can start biulding the HP around the car!

I went the opposite approach, I dropped a nasty motor into an almost stock II.
