So I was at the track last week and ran the ol car down the quarter. I had a

1.997 60'
12.991 E.T.
107.61 MPH

first time to ever hit 12's... before I was running a street tire and launching with a 65 dry shot of nitrous and running mid 13's with a 2.4 60'. I let the pressure out to about 15 lbs and heated them up, babied the throttle and pulled a 2.2 60' and hit a low 13. I finally got some drag radials and did my best 60'. I have a 125 wet nitrous kit coming and a set of 60cc AFR 165's coming and a TFS stage 1 cam.

Right now I just have Isky (.480/.500 210/218 dur.) GT40 cast irons (ported) cobra intake and some of the supporting mods.

Do you guys think upping the nitrous to a 125 shot, AFR's and TFS 1 cam will bring me into the 11's? Is there anyone on here who is doing this?

The stock bottom end is good for 10s (MM&FF went 10.69 with an engine with stock, unported heads, HO intake and stock bottom end). I'd say even 9s are possible if you put a lot of thought into it. the new combo is 11s capable, but work on your suspension and you could probably cut a 12.3 or 12.4 on slicks the way the car is.

i run 11.7's with stock motor and 125shot. see videos in sig. i think you shouldnt have a problem as long as you can get off the line clean.

A local guy here is running 9's on the stock block/internals. He has a main girdle in it, but factory pistons, rods and crank. Has a nice TT set up bolted to it

geez rsw007 that is some sweet launching. I use a Mickey Thompson E/T street tire.... I have LCA's, Subframe connectors, Springs, Shock/Struts (KYB).. so I have done some suspension stuff but can never really plant my foot into off the line with the nitrous. I can't launch it at all cuz it will break them loose so I just try to baby it.
