Whats up...This is my first time posting, but I been reading the site for years. Anyways, this is my third mustang, first was a 99 v6 Mustang, then a 04 Mustang GT, and now a new 2006 Mustang GT. Bought it 9/4/06, took advantage of the 0% financing, anyways I havent had the car for but 12 days and then some punks decided to use my car as a shopping cart return. I was working (Home Depot) when I received I call from a fellow employee asking me if I owned a silver car, well along behold some punks decided to ram a shopping cart straight into my vehicle. I found out because a customer was returning to her vehicle when she heard a loud noise and a car alarm go off. She went inside and notified the returns cashier, who called me, wasnt able to get a plate or anything, they just speed away....sometimes I wondering is it worth it to buy anything nice.

Question....How do I post pictures????

I sooo know the feeling. I'd had my car 14 days when a kid in an older hyundai tiburon decided to back into my rear wheel well. Luckily for him he only scratched the paint. And lucky for me I was only about 15 feet away when he did it.

Ok so mine was hit in the parking lot of a home depot. Does this mean Home Depot is bad luck for mustang owners?

Well, Home Depot has an array of carts, all metal, we usual get tons of complaints from customers and responses to damages from shopping carts and the lumber carts, which at the right speed can do tons of damage...

Do have an update, just reviewed the video cameras and you can see a vehicle pull up in the distance and waited about a minute, then all of the sudden, the car starts driving fast through the parking lot with an individual in the passenger seat holding the cart and releasing it at about 25 to 30 miles an hour straight in to my vehicle., then driving out the parking never to been seen again, reviewed the tapes a couple of times prior to the damage and after to see if the showed up again but no luck.

People suck. I think I'll keep mine parked in the garage for the next 10 years, j/k. I'll take my chances but I'm always paranoid about where I park.

Can relate...my '01 GT was parked in my yard and the house next door was being rented by a family of weirdo with 5 brats. I normally drove my SVT Contour to work and saved the GT for the weekends. I went to get something out of the trunk and noticed a lot of large rocks on my parking pad. Walked around and the car had been peppered down the right side with rocks to the tune of $1500 in dent repair and paintwork. I had no proof the kids next door did it but who else had the time and opportunity, ( straight shot from their backyard to my parking pad) it was an expensive lesson but I agree with the previous poster, "people suck."

now this is just wrong. if i saw someone do that to someone else's car, i'd report them. so sorry to hear about your situation. people that do these types of things have yet to work hard for anything in their life and don't appreciate anything either. in this day & age, it's really not worth it to buy anything nice unless you have the $ to replace or repair what was damaged. i wouldn't buy a Lamborghini, unless i could afford another one.

I guess I should feel lucky. I came out of a McDonald's the other day and found that someone had dumped a cup of coffee on the hood of my GT and left the cup on the ground next to my driver door. I immediately ran my car through a nearby touchless carwash. No permanent damage to the paint that I can see.

This kind of behavior just burns me up. I've thought about it and have come to the conclusion that if I catch someone messing with my car, I will be able to plea bargain down the assult charge to a misdemeanor since I don't have any criminal record whatsoever, and I'm gonna have at it with the perp.

Yeah- just don't mess the guys face up and you will only get a battery charge, if that. A good punch to the gut will do.

'66 Mustang ~ egged interior
