I ran my new best last night at PIR!!!!
Very exciting stuff.
Still on stock tires and exhaust. 2.00 60', I'm hoping to get a 1.9 and get it to a 13.6 or maybe *hopeful* a 13.5!!!!!!

Trisha,

That's a great time for being stock on street tires. Put your hubby's DR's on and your 60's will come down.

My guess is that would not happen with a stock powered GT, which I was talking about.

Now if your talking about Logan's cobra then possibly.

White 02 GT - K&N FIPK, Accufab 75mm T-body & Plenum, SCT Tuner 89 Octane tune, stock 245/45 17's launching at around 3K, slowly coming off the clutch, and yes, Trisha was driving. My best in her car is 13.8.

I'm guessing I am making around 245 hp (still have yet to put it on the dyno). I seriously doubt I am making enough power to break anything, even if I were running slicks.

I have every intendtion slapping the DRs on as the summer progresses... Looking forward to having consistent traction!!!!

99mph i put you right around 235 rwhp.
i also though DRs on the cobra. you wont break a thing with them on the GT.

I just had this conversation with Chung down at woodburn, he made it sound like stock GT axles are pretty damn weak. He said one of his customers even broke the axles with stock tires.

Not saying it happens to all, but theres a decent possibility that if the tires hook too well, the axles could let go.

The Saleen dynod at 300rwhp and passed at 102 at woodburn.

Oh I totally know what you are talking about. EVERY TIME I TALK TO CHUNG all I get is his free advice along with wisdom and years of experience working on his own cars and customers, as well as selling parts. You would think after all this time of being totally involved in almost every aspect of the Mustang hobby that by now he would give me some bad advice..
