Scored the rotors & they need to be turned. Car (99 gt) has the Brembo Gran Turismo front brake kit. 13" slotted rotors.

Does anyone know the minimum thickness to which these rotors can be machined?

You're right, the min thickness is on the rotor.
It's not stated on the hat, but on the outer edge.

Thanks!

1.024" is the ford minimum thickness, however with yours being slotted, they get thrown away and new ones installed.

I've always thought that slotted or drilled rotors can't be turned b/c the slots/holes will damage the cutting bit on the lathe.

Shop said they can turn them. They're backup rotors now anyway & it's only $20 each to have them turned. Kinda want to see the job they do on them.

I'm thinking that when the tech sees them he'll throw them back at the guy that said they can do it.

Rotors have been turned & it took less than an hour. Turned out great! Guess I'm lucky this shop is in the area.
